WHEW!!!!

Well,

Mom has come and gone. We got to spend a day at her house when we took her back. She might be 70 , but man, can that woman move!!! She goes non-stop all the time!!
lets give you an idea... Keep in mind that we were gone ALL DAY Each Day
We picked her up Sunday, Monday we ran all over going to local thrift stores, showing her the town..., Tuesday we went to Old Savannah, Wednesday we went to Sam'-s and Walmart to get my hair done, and contacts ( my b-day present), Thursday we went to Fort Pulaski, got lost in Savannah, drove to Tybee Island, tried to find Oatland wildlife center ( or maybe that was Friday, and this is Thursday.. it is all very hazy) Friday,we did laundry, packed, cleaned house, found a new thrift shop, tried to go to the Fun zone, got rained out, went somewhere else but I cannot for the life of me remember where, Saturday went to "the ultimate yard sale" (over 100 vendors in the mall parking lot) then to the fun zone, the kids played the games, rode the carts and we all mini golfed, then we went out to dinner, church on Sunday,took a nap, finished packing, left Monday to take her home. The 6 hour trip took nine hours due to irritated stomachs and the fact that Nana spoils the kids by letting them pick out snacks at EVERY stop..( no wonder there were irritated tummys), shopped on Tuesday, left on Wednesday morning, this time the trip really did only take 6 hours,

Thursday Jon announced that we picked up the Stewart account( yeah!!been praying bout that) it would begin on 11/1 so he would start preparing for that, it's about 6 times the size of the one he is at and thay have to find employees, equipment,an office....then called to say that on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week we would be leaving for Keywest to do an inventory of a base, it would be a 10-11 hour drive. The kids and I would stay at a hotel and swim, Then we would follow him back, as he would be bringing some equipment back up,

Friday he called to tell me that he would be flying to the Keys, Saturday he found out that the Stewart account would start 10/9 and that really puts him in over drive to get it all set up (it is soooo HUGE!!) Oh yeah, we are leaving either Tues at noon or Wednesday at 4am to all go to the Keys, but we wont know intil Tues about 11, just be ready.

Monday starts, I am washing clothes and packing, trying to do a last minute straighten on the house, prepare for an overnight guest who will care for the critters, and take the kids to the library for books and dvds for the trip, Jon calls at 2, two of his bosses are coming to our house for dinner, they will be there at 5:30. I had planned on a simple no-mess , no-fuss meal, so off to the store I went utilizing my kids as slave labor to help me get the house prepared.
Got back ,dumped the chicken in the sink to thaw, ran the kids to the library, came back, started preparing dinner, Jon calls, the guys are NOT coming for dinner.
Whew... I let my hair down, relax, at a more sedate pace I continue the laundry and packing, the boys have friend over to play football, at 5 Jon calls and now they all ARE coming and will be there at 6:30. Have dinner ready.
Removed the re-frozen chicken that I was not going to use since the men were not coming, sent the kid from down the road home, sent Shelby to wipe down the guest bathroom, AT 5:30 Jon calls they are definitely NOT coming, And he will be very late, so we call Tyler ( kid from down the road) back to play , the boys go on a neighborhood hunt to gather more boys to play ball, Shelby gets out the guinea pig ( oh yeah, Jon brought one home from a military family who could not take it when they moved)
Jon calls again ( I almost don't answer!!),
He is leaving for the Keys tonight, without us!!! So, I iron his pants, wash his shirts, prepare dinner for just us, forget cleaning....start some brownies to send with him, pack drinks and snacks that we were going to take..
Breathe!!!!
He did leave about 9 last night, and is on his way back now.
I have no clue if they are stopping on the way back, I now he hasn't slept, so i hope they do!!!

Ps Jon just called, we may all be heading to the Keys next week......be prepared....
