Two Teens and a Tween

Jaren turned 13. At almost my height and a mens size 11 shoe, he is growing so fast! He looks and behaves so much like my Dad. We surprised him with his friends Jonathan and Elijah K from NC. We told him we were meeting his Dad for lunch in Columbia where he was working that day, and instead we met the Kuykendalls. The look on his face when they walked in was priceless.

Shelby was overcome with boys. We had Justin Jaren, Jonathan, Elijah, and Nathan

I dont remember what got him so tickled here, but something was funny.

Shelby has had this for several years and just recently Jaren has taken a very strong liking to it. He even went as far as to offer Shelby anything in his room in trade. (He was doing some serious coveting!) Shelby being the sweet sister ( HA) held firm, asking for more, changing her mind...knowing all along she planned to give it to him for his birthday. ( It is a letter opener)



He loves ALL swords and knights, and things of that nature. He really wanted this sword off of ebay. ( I have never done that before, it was fun) he even whittles his own knives and swords.

This he bought at the flea market with birthday money. It's a cane, sort of!

We took the boys to Fort McCallister and they promptly began a pinecone war. These infidels were NOT allowed on the viewing stand!!

These two plus 3 more on the next level did their best to defend it!

A Sunday afternoon dip. ( The water was soooo nasty, it did not seem that way until they got in and stirred it up, then it smelled horrid and then THEY smelled horrid)
