Jon has been in the landscape business in some shape or form since before we were married and our boys have grown up doing a variety of yard work. It started when Justin was about 3 or 4, he would go to"work" with Daddy. Jon would place him on a pallet of sod and Justin would try to hand it to whoever needed some. As soon as he was big enough to actually heft one, he graduated to "hauler" and would haul pieces wherever they needed to go. By that time Jaren was on top of the sod pallet"handing" them out. They put down mulch, planted flowers, rode on the mower with Dad. By the time Justin was 8 he was push mowing our yard. We had 3 acres and it was a LONG day, but he and Jaren started taking turns, and it wasn't so bad.Now they are older and as they got bigger, so did their yard "toys". Jon occasionally has to put his John Deere (no more push mowing :))in the shop and gets a loaner or Demo to use from the store .The boys both love trying out the different types of mowers and are quick to let Jon know what they think would be a wise investment in the future, and which mowers go too slow for their taste. Who am I kidding. Jon enjoys trying the new toys as much as they do!!!He does landcare part time now and both boys have graduated from "slave labor" to "cheap labor" and look forward to the days Jon goes out to mow. I am so glad my boys love to work as much as their Dad does.

That is so cute. Maybe they should go into the landscaping business, when they are older.
It's important to instill a good attitude to hard work in our children, especially our sons. Looks like yours are learning that value. They'll grow to appreciate the outcome of the labor of their hands.
