A Funeral

Ok, this is kind of sappy, but then again it is sad too.
Let me begin by telling you, my daughter is VERY sentimental. Very sweet, very kind, VERY mushy, but sort of blunt and pragmatic as well.
This is a funeral barge for Matilda. That is (was) Shelby's turtle.

Next to it is a pink 'coffin'. It was made from an old video box. It is decorated and has a soft blanket inside with a cotton ball for a pillow:)
On the top of the 'coffin' is this note(original spelling included):
This is a burel for Matilda
my turtle
She flipped over twice last night
and all day today she did NOT move
so aveosly she is dead.
3/6/09
_____
On the inside of the 'coffin' is this:
Things that explain Matilda
She was green
and about 1"
She was a red eared slider
I am glad I had a turtle
She loved to help me make crafts
only 3 months old
___________
Come join us as we release Matilda down the creek later today in an offical goodbye.

Now, i am not making fun of my daughter, it was very sweet, and SO SO SO like her.

On another sad note, this is officially the last snowman of the year.....kinda cute isn't he?

Awww, Shelby's funeral was sweet. She's such a sweetheart.

The snowman is pitiful. LOL I wanted ours to just melt away to see how long it would take. But Harry and the neighbor boy tore it to bits Saturday. Which was fine. It was hot out and they had fun cooling off in it.
