It rained all day Sunday, and it was quite cold, but there was no snow. At the end of our evening church service, the Pastor laughed and said he really hoped it would snow, at least at his house, the kids all shouted "look outside!!" the cars all had a layer of snow on the roofs already.
We headed home, changed and ate, and then the kids went out to find it had already snowed several inches!!
Shows you how hard it was snowing. The flakes were huge. There are 3 kids and a dog in the picture somewhere!!

So, at 10:30 last night, our kids were out building a snow man right next to our "think spring" sign we had stuck up the day before!!Kind of ironic really.

We went to bed about midnight and woke up to a beautiful sight. Everything looked so clean and
pure!
I love the white trees
so... we loaded up to go sledding.
We started at the middle school, but it was obviously "well sledded" and after about an hour we headed off to whiter pastures.

We went to the city park, where you had to sled down, then bail or end up in a creek.
After a few tries, and the kids not going "fast" enough, we headed off to a local church where the kids had played soccer. There was a nice big hill, and we did not have to share with anyone!! There was a ramp at the bottom, so you got a twofer!!
Then we were going to head home, but ended up at another church with a big hill.
When it all was said and done, we had sledded(is that a word?)for about 5 hours. We were wet and cold(and do you know how many muscles you work just slogging through snow?), but it was a day the kids will remember for a long long time.

Well at least you had something to do with it. I'm not much for snow. When it snows here, I would rather cover my head up and dream about a nice warm spring day.
