So, where are we going?

Ok, Some pics and some info on my future home.

It's about 450 miles from here, or 4.5 hours "as the Jon flys"

It is one of the original 13 colonies.(the last)

It originally was laid out in wards or squares and much of it today is still that way. 21 of the original 24 wards still exist. LOTS of one way streets!

It has over 130,000 residents (not including the no-see-ums, yes ,that is a real live critter, nasty , nasty little buggars!)

It is the site where a colonel,2 officers, an 3 enlisted men defeated the british which consisted of 5 ships and over 130 men. They pulled a 'Gideon', with misleading shouts and fires, they convinced the british that there were many more americans hiding in the bushes and the british peacefully surrendered.(HA, gotta love the audacity!)

It houses some of the oldest churches in America, and some of the oldest homes

Has a statue of a light house keepers sister who daily faithfully waved to the incoming ships in welcome.

Has a 2 very old cemeteries one of which Shermans army camped in and broke many of the headstones, so the citizens gathered what they could placed them in the wall on the back of the cemetery.
