These are ear plugs like my husband uses for sharpening blades or other loud work that he does.Well, we were on our way back from the river yesterday and Jaren had a headache. His brother and sister were gabbing so he decided that he would use one. He has never used one before but Jon had shown him how they worked one day in the garage. The unfortunate problem was I don't keep those in the car and what grabbed was a yellow eraser.
Because his ear was wet, that little sucker slid all the way into his ear and rested on his eardrum.SOOOO, we had another adventure in the ER with Jaren. Bless his heart, it was so painful for them to try to grab, they had to sedate him, and he is still feeling the after effects of Ketamine/Atropine. He said later he thought it was an ear plug sized for him and that's why he didn't have to squeeze it to get it in.

The x marks the spot. After the sedation, when he was waking up he would focus on you just a little then give this huge goofy grin. Then he would try to pop up find his dad and ask"is this a dream? No, really Dad, tell me the truth, is this a dream? This went on about 5 times before he was finally with us mentally.

He feels much better today, the drug "hang over" seems to be gone and other then his hearing being a little muffled, he is completely well.

Poor little guy!!!
Ohhhhhhhh, Poor Jaren!! I suppose this will be a problem through the ages. Maybe not with erasers, but there will always be some child putting something in their nose or ears.
Bruce dropped a bebe in his ear when he was younger and his dad fished it out with a magnet. He thought the ridges in his ear were perfect to roll a bebe. Go figure. LOL

Bless his heart! Don't you love taking kids to the ER for strange things? Hope Jaren gets better quick.

Poor guy, what a trooper he looks like he is in good spirits! That will be a fun story to tell his wife one day!
