Easter weekend Part 1

We had a very hectic weekend.
Thursday evening a few in our church went to hand out flyers for the Easter Sunrise Service.
We put out several hundred flyers, well, THEY put out the flyers. I sat at home alone with my new spring cold for company!!
Friday I did my normal house/mom/teacher things while Jon went and shopped for the childrens church easter celebration. Friday night we had a wicked storm come through and the electricity went out at the church, but that was okay, we went anyways and set tables up where was still light coming in the windows so we could stuff the 800 eggs, and organize the boxes full of goodies for Saturday.
Finally, the Lord saw fit to get the power fixed and we stayed at the church until about 10 gettting ready for both the Saturday and Sunday services.

Saturday morning we got to the church about 9am, and the first kids arrived about 9:30. They were not supposed to be there until 10, but their mom dropped them off, SOOO, we entertained the 6 precious little buggars until about 10:15 when the bus arrived.

Now, our bus ministry is not very large, but we doubled on this day. After the preaching 4 young people accepted Christ and several others just wanted to make sure they were saved.

THAT IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!!!!!
Then of course we had the egg hunt, and the prize give away. 2 ducks, 4 chickens, 2 rabbits, a hamster, a bike, 20 dollars, 2 chocolate bunnies, and a talking monkey. The children were thrilled!!!
We sang before the preaching

The older kids poured out the door

Then ran everywhere. Some eggs were hidden REALLY well.

The younger ones were safe in the field.

Of course we fed them.
oooh, Shelly got a chicken
The bus ride home

When taking them home, One family of 6 ( the first to arrive) had somehow managed to win 2 chickens a duck and a rabbit so when the bus pulled up their daddy was waiting at the door, the first ran off yelling " daddy, daddy I won a chicken!!!" daddy smiled and said " a chicken, well good"
then the next came off " daddy, daddy i won a duck, a real live baby duck!!!"
daddy smiled a little less, and said "oh, a duck???"
By this time another little one was yelling "daddy daddy i won a chicken too!!!"
" oh boy, 2 chickens and a duck?" he began looking at Jon sorta odd,
then Jon handed him the 4 bags of food, and he noticed the rabbit food, and said "and what is this for ???"
by that time the last of the little guys came bounding off the bus all smiles... daddy daddy I won a rabbit.!!!!Jon, held up his hands said"it is not my fault, REALLY!! and quickly got back on the bus!!!
Three of the four kids with critters!!
